Adult Education is seeking to recruit a person with the appropriate qualifications, knowledge and experience to effectively fulfil the role of a Programme Manager.
In this role you will plan, develop and manage high quality programmes of learning so as to achieve performance targets and quality standards. In the 2014 -15 academic year you will be responsible for the management of our highly successful Basic Skills, Functional Skills, GCSE and Access programmes. The Programme Manager role is flexible so that in the future you may be asked to manage other programme areas.
You will also be responsible for the management of the implementation of a service and Countywide strategy for a defined area of work. Currently the area associated with this post is Embedding English and maths, but you would need to be prepared to take on other areas of work as required.
As a member of the Adult Education management team you will contribute to service wide decision making.
You will have experience of developing, planning and managing programmes of learning and managing quality improvement processes in the post-16 learning sector. You will also be able to demonstrate a proven ability to work strategically to meet challenging performance targets and you will have a good current knowledge of developments in the FE sector.
