Values and vision

Bedlingtonshire Community High School wants all students to achieve their full potential and put their best efforts into everything they do. It hopes for students to leave as respectful and happy individuals who will in turn contribute positively to society. Positivity is practiced at all times and a worry box is in place to combat any negative issues. Leadership skills are encouraged and the school has a group of student representatives from each year group, who meet together to discuss ways of improving school life and facilities.  Bedlingtonshire Community High School holds a Healthy School accreditation and a wide range of extra-curricular sports clubs are offered, ranging from football to cricket.

Ofsted

“Students behave sensibly and display good attitudes to learning. They are kept safe at school. Good provision for students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is firmly embedded. Governance has improved. Governors have a very accurate view of the school’s performance, understand its strengths and weaknesses and now challenge the school more effectively. Teaching in the sixth form, particularly those on GSCE courses, is consistently good and that students are always provided with work that challenges them to achieve well”.
