We are recruiting a team of three mathematics teachers to work across England in supporting schools in our network.

Complete Mathematics is a professional learning network, with schools involved in all regions in England. Using the Complete Mathematics platform to drive teaching, learning and assessment in schools, teachers are able to take part in the largest ever collaboration project in mathematics education.

Beyond the online aspect of the project, the network also meets face-to-face in regional meeting three times per year and national events in the summer and autumn terms.

Our mathematics teachers will grow and support the network.

You should be an excellent mathematics teacher with a real passion for improving the subject through enabling teachers to share their expertise and knowledge. You will work on a wide variety of activities, from in school support to home based research and development.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that all schools in England are aware of the network and able to get involved
  • Grow the network through regional awareness raising
  • Work with teachers in the classroom to help them get the most from the platform and network
  • Create effective resources for teaching mathematical concepts
  • Quality assure resources
  • Animate online communities
  • Run regional networking meetings that ensure teachers have a platform to share and reflect
  • Maintain a continual dialogue with network members so that they engage with long-term lesson study / action enquiry
  • Contribute to national events

Experience and Skills:

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Very recent classroom experience
  • Degree in mathematics (or very closely related subject)
  • Track record of effective teaching
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues in a variety of settings
  • Outstanding IT skills
  • Ability to travel widely across England, including overnight stays.
