We are seeking a new member of the residential team offering boarding care in our thriving boarding school from January 2015 or as soon as possible. The post is full-time and non-teaching.
The residential member of staff:
- will be enthusiastic and flexible with a strong sense of humour and sound common sense
- will have a genuine interest in and a liking for young people
- will be resident whilst on duty: a self-contained flat is available throughout the year
- be responsible for the boarding care and the routines of girls between 11 and 17
- will be the senior member of boarding staff in the main school building on 3 or 4 nights per week
- will share in the general life of the school according to the needs of the school and her skills and interests
- GOQ woman

St Mary's School Ascot is a leading Roman Catholic girls' boarding school set in 55 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Berkshire. St Mary’s has a strong reputation as an academic school within the Catholic tradition. Entry to the school is selective. All pupils are expected to take 9 or 10 GCSEs, and almost all stay on for the Sixth Form to pursue their A Levels. Our leavers invariably go on to higher education, the vast majority to Russell Group universities or similar, including 10-15% to Oxbridge.
