Bucks Pay range R4 21 £22,368 - 25 £24216
Full Time 37.5h a week, term time with 4 weeks during the school holiday. Permanent (6 month probation period)

(Part-time would be considered for the right candidate)

In our small school, we are seeking to appoint an ambitious and commercially focused School Business Manager (SBM) to our team. In partnership with the teaching staff, the SBM is responsible for providing professional leadership and management of the school's support staff to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning in the school.

As a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team, this person will be responsible for ensuring all non-teaching aspects of the school is run efficiently and effectively. This opportunity requires someone with excellent management, business and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically will ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the school's learning objectives

  • CSBM/DSBM qualification or equivalent business/management qualification.
  • The ability to manage workloads under pressure, priorities and problem solve.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to whole school development.
  • A commitment to the ethos of the school that is inclusive and inspirational.
  • Initiative to Problem Solve
  • Have proven experience in commerce, industry or education including responsibility for budgets, personnel, project management, ICT systems or/and premises management
  • Be experienced in bidding successfully for resources and/or funding streams
  • Be a strategic thinker, ensuring that the school maximises income to promote its aims, priorities and objectives
