Job overview

All Year Round, Permanent

Gospel Oak is the largest primary school in the London Borough of Camden.  It is a popular school with a mixed intake of children from a very diverse local community.  The school and nursery are on the edge of Hampstead Heath with excellent transport connections across London.

We are looking for an exceptional individual for this pivotal role within the school leadership team. The postholder will provide strategic management of external communication, administration, personnel and financial services that ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the school development plan.

The successful candidate will:

  • demonstrate proven experience of business, finance and resources management, ideally, but not necessarily, within a school
  • have the ability to relate well to children, parents, carers, governors and staff as well as experience of successful working in partnership with external stakeholders (such as the local authority)
  • have an understanding of how to build and support high performing teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience, energy and vision, and if it sounds of interest we would encourage you to visit the school to meet the headteacher and have a look around. Please contact Deborah Isaacs to arrange an appointment at admin@gospeloak.camden.sch.uk or 020 7485 7435.

Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 5th October 2014
Interview Date: Week beginning Monday 13th October 2014

If you are interested in applying for the post, please apply online at www.islington.gov.uk/jobs. If you need assistance please email Frances Leonard at schoolsrecruitment@islington.gov.uk quoting SCH/797.
