Job overview

School Crossing Patrol, Carmarthenshire

Permanent/Part Time, term time only

Are you interested in working part-time as a School Crossing Patrol? We now have vacancies in areas throughout the County.

You would become part of a dedicated team responsible for the safety of young people travelling to and from school. The hours cover the beginning and end of the school day and, in some cases, lunch-time.

Many schools in Carmarthenshire are Welsh language or bilingual schools; as the work involves guiding the children some posts in some areas will be level 3 as a language requirement in order that the post holder will be able to communicate effectively with the children and teachers.

You will be provided with a uniform and safety equipment and full training.

A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be requested for this post.

For further information or an informal discussion on the above posts please contact the Road Safety Unit on 01267 228285.

Application forms are available from 01267 234567 or e-mail direct@carmarthenshire.gov.uk or apply on-line. Completed applications should be returned to the Assistant Chief Executive (People Management and Performance), Building 14, St. David's Park, Job's Well Road, Carmarthen. SA31 3HB.
