School Improvement Adviser Early Years Foundation

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead on School Improvement Adviser for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Working in partnership with schools and settings, you will use your leadership skills, knowledge and experience to secure the best possible educational provision and outcomes.

We are looking for an individual who will:

• Ensure that the well being, learning and progress of all Early Years children is central to Southend's Early Years policies and strategy; develop an Early Years Education Strategy in partnership with Southend's Early Years raising of achievement in Southend Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Oversee the implementation of the strategy and make certain it is followed in practice.
• Ensure that teaching and assessment in Southend's Early Years is effective in helping Children to achieve their potential.
• Be the officer responsible for early years outcomes and for inspection outcomes for infant schools and reception classes in primary schools.
• Be the officer responsible for ensuring good transition between settings and school and Reception into Key Stage 1.
