The Learning Improvement Team is a highly accomplished team within Children's Services, which has lead strategic responsibility for raising standards of achievement and attainment in schools. It works closely with a range of teams to deliver the priorities of the Leeds Learning Improvement Strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for a primary school leader to take on a key role within Children's Services to build on the dynamic and highly successful work the team is delivering across the city. We are looking for a passionate and committed experienced teacher, with leadership experience who has a proven track record of working in partnership with schools and other LA services to deliver improved and accelerated outcomes for our young people across the primary sector.

Key aspects of this role will be to deliver the 0-11 Learning Improvement traded offer of be-spoke consultancy support and central-led training. Key areas of expertise required are knowledge and experience of removing barriers to learning and building capacity to create and develop effective solutions.

This post would be ideally suited to teachers with experience of leading on key priority areas such as literacy, mathematics, science and/or early years, although we are keen to hear from colleagues who have a wide range of expertise such as foundation subject(s)and/or middle leadership.

The post could be offered on a secondment basis. Any applicant wishing to secure a secondment would need to seek approval from their school's governing body prior to applying.
