School Services PYP and MYP Associate Manager in The Netherlands

An opportunity for a School Services PYP and MYP Associate Manager has arisen within the School Services Division of the IB which oversees authorization and evaluation activities. The School Services PYP and MYP Associate Manager provides administrative support to the PYP and MYP School Services Managers in all aspects related to PYP and MYP authorized schools, with particular emphasis on coordinating the work of the IB educators in this two programmes. This position also provides support to the PYP and MYP School Services Managers in aspects related to application, authorization and evaluation processes and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assist in ensuring quality service in all aspects of the candidate, authorization and programme evaluation phases to ensure schools meet programme requirements
• Coordinate the finalizat ion of reports by IB Educators following school visits
• Coordinate the finalization of progress report responses
• Provide programme support to IB practitioners before, during and after IBAEM assignments
• Contribute to the overall regional strategy by engaging and collaborating in cross-team projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate the planning, development and monitoring of IB practitioners training.
• Contribute to the effective and coherent working of the programmes within the overall context of School Services in order to ensure effective communication between units and good interpersonal relationships

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• University degree
• Preference given to applicants who have experience in both the PYP and the MYP
• Minimum 4 years PYP or MYP experience as a teacher and/or in pedagogical leadership
• Mother tongue level of written and spoken English and strong editing skills
• Organizational and planning skills, including ability to handle priorities and meet deadlines
• Interpersonal skills, with an aptitude to work in multifunctional and multicultural teams
• Facility with ICT tools, including databases and Microsoft outlook
• French, Spanish and/or other languages (Russian, Turkish, Arabic)
• Project management

Knowledge of the Africa/Europe and Middle East region, types of school and educational systems an advantage
