West Sussex Governors' Service Team provides support and guidance to over 3000 volunteer school governors in West Sussex.
Acting as the first point of contact for the Learning Service you will provide advice, guidance and support to Headteachers, senior leaders and governing bodies on education legislation, West Sussex policies/guidelines and school management and governance issues.
You will contribute to evidence gathering for the regular reviews of schools as well as monitoring governing body effectiveness through scrutiny and sampling of documentation. You will also respond to complaints on behalf of the Learning Service and facilitate conflict resolution as appropriate.
With the ability to work independently and demonstrate tact you will also be able to communicate complex information effectively. Experience and knowledge of school governance and/or education is essential.
