Islington schools are leaders in raising educational standards and improving the life chances of young people. Excellent financial support and effective resource allocation are amongst the key building blocks to their success.
We are seeking to appoint a School Resource Officer to our traded Schools Finance Team which supports 57 Islington Schools. You will need excellent interpersonal and team skills combined with strong strategic financial management and accountancy skills to support a portfolio of schools on every aspect of schools finance and further develop the partnership we have with schools.
The post duties are extensive and include central school support, on site management and administration of all schools finance functions, finance training, central/school reconciliation, school financial consultancy services, financial accountability and school system support.
Within the School Commissioning Division, you will be working with a supportive and vibrant team with significant experience, and which pools its resources to achieve a value for money service to schools and the Council. You would establish strong functional links with LBI HR, Payroll and ICT support services.
This is a full-time role and may require some evening work with governing bodies. An enhanced DBS is required.
