Are you a dynamic and inspirational teacher of modern foreign languages (MFL)? Do you want to work with highly aspirational students in a diverse multicultural environment?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Second-in-Charge of MFL; an outstanding teacher that will lead by example and help manage developments within the MFL curriculum. Working alongside the Head of MFL, you will be able to show the motivation, leadership and commitment required to achieve ambitious targets and exceed expectations both within your faculty and for the Academy as a whole.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and ambitious individual to become a leader within a dynamic and highly successful team. Specific leadership responsibilities will be matched to the strengths and professional development requests of the successful candidate.

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a good proven track record in raising attainment and accelerating progress
  • Be an excellent teacher with consistently 'Outstanding' classroom practice
  • Be able to inspire and develop consistent 'Good or Better' learning and teaching in others
  • Able to teach French up to A Level and Spanish up to GCSE
  • Have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Have excellent subject knowledge
  • Be flexible and a good team player
  • Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school.
