About St James Academy
Since the appointment of Ian Moore as Principal at St James, the academy has become a popular and well-thought of school which is noticeable for its friendly, polite and inclusive culture. St James attracts an increasing number of first choice applications and there are currently over 800 learners on roll.
St James has seen marked improvements in its GCSE attainment and progress scores, with several individual subjects recording 100% Grade 5 plus achievements. An extensive programme of refurbishment works has been undertaken to ensure that facilities are good and well resourced.
