We are looking for a talented Secondary Network Teacher for Dyslexia to collaborate with the Network Lead Teacher for Dyslexia on developing and implementing a sustainable ARK Schools model for supporting secondary aged students experiencing literacy difficulties with a view to establishing a national benchmark for excellence.

The role will encompass identification of need, as well as advice and support to faculty departments and SEN Teams on appropriate intervention, resources and access arrangements. The successful candidate will support with the delivery of a range of training events to promote good practice.

The ideal candidate will:

  • have experience of running intervention programmes that support students with literacy difficulties
  • be able to demonstrate a current knowledge of curriculum and assessment requirements for pupils 11+
  • have achieved excellent results in teaching secondary literacy, especially with pupils with low prior attainment and specific learning difficulties
  • possess experience of training secondary school staff
  • be a committed and generous team worker, to whom going above and beyond expectations for their colleagues is second nature.
