We have a focus on providing high quality support so all children in Trafford Schools are able to achieve their potential.

Our School Improvement Advisors work in partnership with schools providing leadership, support and challenge. They strive to improve the quality of education for all learners and to raise standards of achievement. Our role is also developing into new areas such as brokerage and commissioning of school to school support and facilitating schools to access other resources.

All Advisors are also expected to provide leadership in an area of specialism on behalf of the team.

You will contribute directly to maintaining and developing high quality services to schools. We are seeking someone who:

  • has the professional expertise, knowledge and ability to work successfully with Headteacher's, senior managers, teachers and governors;
  • has excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • has a proven track record in school improvement;
  • is able to take a strategic lead in the professional development of school leaders; and
  • is able to work as a member of a team providing strategic leadership to schools across the LA.
