About German European School Singapore

First established in 1971, German European School Singapore is a co-educational international school located in Singapore. 33 years after its founding, in 2004, the school began to introduce English-language classes for students, having previously only offered the German curriculum. Today, the school maintains two separate streams for its 1500 pupils to follow, namely the European and German sections. The European sections begins with the IB Early Years programme, followed by the IB Middle Years programme. The stream ends with students studying for the International Baccalaureate Diploma, with these three sections being taught entirely in English along with mother-tongue Danish and Dutch classes. In contrast, the German stream follows the standard German school curriculum, with students studying for the standard German school leavers certificates. The school is hoping to able to support these curriculums with a modern campus, first opening in 2018. The campus will boast of a range of modern recreational and academic facilities, in addition to those already possessed by the school.  The new campus will also allow the school to take on an additional 500 students, all under the same roof.
