Job overview
Uxbridge College is a highly successful Further Education College in West London. We achieved the grade of 'Outstanding' in our last Ofsted inspection (May 2008).
Reporting to the Head of School for Essential Skills and Learning Support, you would lead the development and management of SEN provision across the College. You would manage a team of learning support and communication support staff and oversee the additional support funding claim across the College.
You must possess a degree level qualification and have Qualified Teacher Status, and you will preferably have an SEN teaching qualification, or should be willing to undertake one. You should have experience of delivering learning support in a cross-College setting and experience of SEN delivery as well as a successful track record in the management of the curriculum for SEN learners. You should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising a team in Further Education or in a similar setting.
