We are looking to appoint outstanding SEN Teachers (2 full-time and one part-time) to lead and support all aspects of inclusion with a focus on Literacy and Numeracy. The successful candidates will be joining our new Orchard Centre where we can offer a newly created SEN teaching area (a school within a school) that is modelled on our Specialist Resourced Provision for pupils with Cognition and Learning difficulties. You will be given the opportunity to build a learning hub with two dedicated Teaching Assistants assigned to you to help support the progress of small groups of pupils.
You will need to be a highly skilled and experienced practitioner, motivated, dynamic and innovative. We also require teachers who have a good understanding of effective SEN practice and have the expertise to inspire, support and enhance the teaching practice of others.

About Penketh High School
Penketh High School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Warrington, Cheshire. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust called Penketh Academy Trust. The school has an on-site provision called the Orchard Centre. It also has a partnership with Kwadeda High School in South Africa, with whom it made a feature film called The Opportunity. A larger than average size for a secondary school, the school will provide 1,344 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18.
Penketh High gained academy status in April 2013.
