An exciting opportunity to join our very 'Good' school (Ofsted October 2013) in the capacity of a SEN Teaching Assistant with Early Years and KS1 expertise.
Our small friendly village school is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. The work will be predominantly to support a child within a mixed reception, year 1 and year 2 class.
This post is for 25 hours per week until July 2015 in the first instance.
We are looking for people who:
- have a passion for working with children
- generate high levels of engagement and commitment to learning across the whole school
- have excellent communication skills
- are able to demonstrate initiative and are sensitive to the needs of children,enabling them to enjoy their learning and reach their potential
- are able to work flexibly and as part of a team, building relationships with pupils and staff
- are able to demonstrate initiative and be sensitive to the needs of children
- are respectful and supportive of a Church school ethos
- have experience in working alongside pupils with special needs.
