Creating Opportunity                     Inspiring Achievement

‘A school where leaders and teachers have created a positive learning environment which makes a strong contribution to pupils’ confidence and enjoyment of school – Pupils’ personal development is enhanced by the extensive programme of extra-curricular opportunities available to them’ - Ofsted

Our philosophy is simple, we believe that with the right support, guidance, provision and challenge all children are capable of achieving greatness in whatever field they choose.

The Leadership team and teaching staff is focussed on raising the expectations of pupils, through consistently well planned and delivered lessons, tracking of individual pupil progress and structured feedback.

The teaching, leadership and pastoral support across the schools means that our students get the benefit of the shared facilities and curriculum opportunities.

Teaching Excellence

The Trust places Quality First Teaching as one of its core values.  The pursuit of teaching excellence on a daily basis is a fundamental requirement in all of its schools.

Our key focus is the development of a series of learning ‘essentials’, these are:

  • challenge for all students at all times to exceed what they think they can achieve
  • raising expectations of everyone involved in learning: students, parents, teachers and support staff
  • marking and feedback that promotes and enhances learning

We pride ourselves in employing staff that are leaders in their field or have the potential to be so.  Staff are expected to continue to focus on developing their practice through numerous CPD opportunities, both internal and external, and where best practice is identified, to share it with colleagues.

We are committed to continually learn and improve our practice each and every day through collegiate working.

Our staff are our greatest asset and we aim to create a workplace where everyone can give their best.

Why choose us?

We have an outstanding state-of-the-art campus that is equipped with modern technology to make your working environment a pleasant and inspiring place to be.

You will be encouraged to develop professionally through an extensive in-house CPD programme and this can include external training.

Any new approach you have to improve the outcomes for our students and the school will be welcomed.

You’ll have the opportunity to join our wide range of extra-curricular activities:

  • A large Combined Cadet Force with Army and Navy sections
  • An internationally recognised orchid project
  • An amazing array of sports and incredible sports facilities
  • International exchange links with China, Tanzania, Burundi & Rwanda that support the 14-19 curriculum
  • Trips to Europe, USA, Africa, China
  • Theatre workshops as well as special touring workshops for children ages 10-18
