Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park Campus is located on a lush, green 20 acre site with excellent facilities. The school provides opportunities for students to join either Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE IGCSE) or Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum) and caters for children from 3 years of age to 17 years of age.

We offer a rich, quality education with affordable fees. The school caters for the children of expatriates working and living in Malaysia and for those Malaysian children who qualify to attend an International school. The student population comprising 30 different nationalities is approximately 1900, with 1300 attending the international school, 550 of which in secondary. Our teaching staff are both expatriate and Malaysian.

Our approach is individual - we strive for every student to stretch themselves beyond their potential and in doing so we reflect our vision of 'A united world at peace... through education'.

Memberships & Affiliations

We are a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), a centre for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), an Eco School Bronze Award holder and are authorised to deliver the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

The Role

Applications are invited from a qualified, experienced teacher to join our international school (ages 3 - 18)

You will have a degree, QTS or equivalent and at least two years' experience as a SENCO. Recent experience of the International Primary Curriculum ("IPC") would be advantageous although not essential. You will be able and willing to offer an extra-curricular activity to a high level.

  • To support and help lead the development of Special Educational Needs across Primary and Secondary.
  • As the SENCO support the leadership of the school in developing Special Educational Needs Requirements.
  • To help lead the school in the policies and practices of continuous school improvement and staff development in relation to Special Educational Needs.
  • To constantly seek strategies which will bring about improvement in the Special Education Needs Requirements.

Contract

This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end.

Interviews

Initial interviews will be completed through Skype. Final candidates will be invited to attend a panel interview at the school prior to the final decision being taken.
