• Pupils behave well and are very proud of their school.

• The new Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher provide strong leadership.
• In 2013, attainment by the end of Year 7 was above average in reading and mathematics because pupils made good progress.
• There are strong relationships between adults and pupils.

Witton Middle School offers you the opportunity to teach and contribute to the development of SEND pupils within a supportive team. We have excellent provision for continuing professional development. We are an improving school with positive relationships, high aspirations and excellent facilities. In 2014, KS2 attainment and progress were the highest in the school's recent history. In addition attendance is high and improving.

We seek a SEND Co-ordinator who is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils. There is the possibility of training for the right candidate. There will be a teaching commitment associated with this role and we expect teaching standards of the highest quality as well as a strong commitment to the pupils, school and wider community.

We have a SEND teaching area, but are committed to the integration of all our SEND pupils into the full range of curriculum subjects within the classroom. You will have excellent support from an Administrative Assistant and Lead Teaching Assistant, together with a large team of enthusiastic teaching assistants.
