Senior Cleaner & Keyholder

12.5 hours per week (7am - 9.30am daily )

East-the-Water Primary School has increased in size by 5 new classrooms therefore requires an additional cleaner to join our hardworking and friendly team. The role of Senior Cleaner will be expected to cover in absence of the school's Caretaker. Absence would be considered if the caretaker was on annual leave or absent as a result of illness. The position is permanent and commences as soon as possible.

Overall purpose of the role ensures that;

• School is unlocked providing access for cleaning team each morning 7 - 9.30am
• Designated cleaning area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Main hall floor is cleaned and furnishings moved regularly to maintain high standard of hygiene
• Bins are emptied, litter collected and recycled prepared for collection
• Stock orders are monitored and needs alerted to the attention of Caretaker
• Playground, paths, field and garden areas are free from litter and harm daily

Duties in absence of Caretaker;

• Ensure school is unlocked and locked ensuring school premises are secure
• Liaise with contractors enabling access during absence of caretaker
• Maintain logging system of checking fire points and water testing weekly
• Cover may exceed periods of school term
