  • AS English Language and Literature
  • AS English Language
  • AS English Literature A
  • AS English Literature B

We are looking to appoint a team of experienced senior examiners to author examination question papers for our new AS English qualifications.

We will appoint to the following posts for each specification:

  • Chair of Examiner
  • Chief Examiner
  • Lead Assessment Writer
  • Assessment Reviser
  • Assessment Scrutineer

Who are we looking for?

Enthusiastic and passionate education professionals with:

  • subject expertise in A-level English, teaching experience and current curriculum knowledge
  • experience of setting assessments and devising mark schemes as a senior examiner for an awarding organisation
  • excellent organisational skills and a proven track record for delivering high quality work on time
  • outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • strong IT skills, as much of the work is computer-based, with an increasing use of online technology
  • a collaborative and flexible approach to their work.

Applicants for the roles of Chair of Examiners and Chief Examiner will also have experience of:

  • leading a team of professionals and managing performance
  • monitoring and coordinating the development of assessments across a specification and over time
  • developing and implementing a subject strategy.
