We are looking to appoint a team of experienced senior examiners to author examination question papers for our new AS English qualifications.
We will appoint to the following posts for each specification:
- Chair of Examiner
- Chief Examiner
- Lead Assessment Writer
- Assessment Reviser
- Assessment Scrutineer
Who are we looking for?
Enthusiastic and passionate education professionals with:
- subject expertise in A-level English, teaching experience and current curriculum knowledge
- experience of setting assessments and devising mark schemes as a senior examiner for an awarding organisation
- excellent organisational skills and a proven track record for delivering high quality work on time
- outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
- strong IT skills, as much of the work is computer-based, with an increasing use of online technology
- a collaborative and flexible approach to their work.
Applicants for the roles of Chair of Examiners and Chief Examiner will also have experience of:
- leading a team of professionals and managing performance
- monitoring and coordinating the development of assessments across a specification and over time
- developing and implementing a subject strategy.
