We are recruiting a senior examiner team to lead our Level 3 Maths (Core Maths) qualification. The posts include a Chief Examiner, two Lead Assessment Writers, two Revisers and two Scrutineers.

All roles are part time and can be worked alongside other professional commitments. The work is primarily home based, however we do ask you to attend between five and ten meetings throughout the year (for the Chief and Lead Assessment Writer roles only), the Reviser and Scrutineer roles have a greater home-based focus, although the Reviser may be required to attend five or less meetings per year.

The qualification:
With over ten years' experience of offering innovative Level 3 advanced qualifications through our Free-Standing Maths qualifications (FSMQ) - this new qualification focuses on problem solving and developing skills needed in real-life and for studying. It is available for first teaching from September 2014 and is around half the size of an A-level with end-of-course examination.

Who are we looking for?
Education professionals with a passion for and expertise in Maths. Your academic background should include a degree in Maths, or other relevant subject and/or a teaching qualification. Experience of teaching the subject is desirable, but is not a pre-requisite. The ideal candidates will also have examining experience. Applicants will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will need to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines. You will also need to have good IT skills, as much of the associated work is computer based, with an increasing use of online applications/e-technologies.

Training for the roles will be provided and further support will be given by the Qualifications Developers.

For more information about any of these roles please visit the AQA website for individual job roles and how to apply.

Please note that you can apply for more than one role on the same application form.

The closing date is Thursday 9th October 2014.
