Havering is a high attaining Local Authority and its school improvement service (Hsis) enjoys an excellent reputation both within the borough and beyond.

We are seeking to appoint a new Senior Inspector (Primary) to join the Havering School Improvement Service (Hsis). As Senior Inspector, you will be responsible principally for providing support and challenge to Primary schools in Havering. You will undertake a quality assurance role across the borough but also provide school improvement advice, training and guidance. Furthermore, you will work to facilitate a 'schools supporting schools' programme as part of our School Improvement Alliance with headteachers, teaching schools and other school improvement professionals.

You will be an experienced educationalist with a strong track record in senior leadership and an incisive understanding of current educational issues and school improvement. You will be fluent in data analysis and relevant IT applications. Most importantly, you will be passionate about securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people and in supporting and challenging schools and academies to develop ambitious plans to improve.
