We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education with specialist expertise in mathematics, to join the Education Department. You will join an enthusiastic and highly successful team and play a central role in teaching on our popular Primary programmes. As well as teaching mathematics the successful applicant will be expected to contribute to other areas of the curriculum (dependent on personal experience and expertise) and professional studies. School based training is also a vital part of the role and will involve observing and supporting trainees and mentors in schools and education settings.

The post is suitable for an experienced outstanding primary teacher and/or someone who has experience in Initial Teacher Training in Higher Education Institutions, SCITTs or similar organisations. Experience of supporting student teachers in school, and awareness of current developments in the field of Initial Teacher Training such as School Direct are also important aspects of the role.
