We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Music and Professional Studies to join our Education Department. This post provides an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking department with a longstanding reputation for excellence. The Department offers undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education for core and School Direct routes as well as a continuing development programme for serving teachers and other professionals. The post is suitable for an experienced secondary teacher and/or someone who has experience in Initial Teacher Training in a Higher Education Institution, SCITT or similar organisation. Experience of supporting trainees in school, and awareness of current developments in the field of Initial Teacher Training are also important aspects of the role.

The successful candidate will maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and the student experience at Middlesex University. They will join a committed and highly successful secondary team and play a central role in the teaching and management of our secondary music programme.
