Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS) is a privately-owned international school located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We offer the National Curriculum of England and we have been granted candidate status for accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS). Our students and teachers come from all over the world. Guided by our values of Discovering Potential, Learning to Care and Respecting Differences __ we strive to shape our students into becoming global citizens. With a current student body (aged 4 - 16) of approximately 500, we are a small but vibrant school.

The school in presently undergoing intense development and change process. In line with the school's expansion programme, MIGS is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill leadership positions as well as teaching positions. We are seeking experienced and committed candidates who are able to work collaboratively in a multicultural setting and who share our values and aspirations.

Leadership Positions

  • Deputy Head of Junior School

The aspiring candidates should have outstanding leadership qualities and a strategic direction to build on the present strengths of the school. He/she will work closely with the governing body and should have excellent rapport with students and staff.

Requirements:

  • Possess an Educational Degree or a Degree with a PGCE or equivalent.
  • A Master's Degree is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant teaching experience including experience as a Head/Deputy Head of School.
  • Previous experience and proven track record in school development and improvement.
  • Familiarity with the CIS accreditation process will be an added advantage.

 Mutiara International Grammar School (MIGS) is a independent facility in Malaysia, teaching students from Reception to Year 11. The school is located in the Selangor region, which has a population of six million and easy access to the nation’s capital Kuala Lumpur. MIGS teaches in the English language, with additional focus on Arabic, French, and Mandarin. The school runs a English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme which is held twice a week after school hours. As part of the UK curriculum taught, examinations are held for SATs and the IGCSE. MIGS is a member of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). 

Extra-curricular societies at MIGS include a Model UN, French movie club, craft & origami, journalism & magazine, chess, board games, environment, and STEM club. As part of the school’s dedication to civic engagement, MIGS holds regular events dedicated to helping refugees in the community. The wide range of sporting activities include badminton, basketball, bowling, football, futsal, golf, ping pong, lacrosse, kendo, and tennis.
