A sustainable and customer focused council Barnsley Council is facing the future with confidence and ambition. We are undergoing a huge change programme designed to make us more customer focused, flexible and business-like. This means not only a new, leaner structure, with three Directorates covering People, Place and Communities, but a new attitude and approach across the organisation to our service delivery.
Citizens achieving their potential is a priority for Barnsley and we are looking to appoint a Service Director for Education, Early Start and Prevention to lead our work to ensure that every child is prepared for learning, receives the best possible education, and there is swift access to early help for children, young people and families who need it. That is why we need candidates who are aspirational and experienced in this field of work and have a strong track record of leadership and management with a focus on the needs of children and young people.
It is an exciting time for Barnsley and if you wish to be part of our transformation please visit our web site at www.barnsley.gov.uk
