Job overview

3 x SHINE Class Teachers

Fixed Term post for 1 year to July 2015 (Saturdays only)

Plymouth Grove Primary, Medlock Primary & Armitage CE Primary schools are looking for 3 Class Teachers to work on an exciting and innovative project 'Halle Shine on Manchester'.

The post would suit an experienced teacher whom is looking for a part time post without the additional commitments of a full time class. The class teacher will be part of a team of three teachers and three teaching assistants led by a project manager.

The project is designed to raise achievement in the core academic subjects through high quality, creative and practical learning with a high staff to pupil ratio and regular opportunities for enrichment. It offers something which is different from but complementary to the school week. The Halle will be working with the project on a regular basis and will contribute to the ethos of the project.

The project will take place on a Saturday and will be based in Medlock Primary School. It will run for 25weeks per year starting in November, during term time, between the hours of 10.00am and 3.00pm (exact time tbc) - staff will be expected to arrive approximately one hour before the start of the session and remain for a short period of time to ensure key evaluation and general organisation takes place.

The role will entail working with a range of staff across the three schools and musicians from the Halle. At various points through the year, additional support drawn from either staff from the three schools or externally will support the project.

This is an exciting role that for the right person will serve to enrich and change children's lives.
