Values and vision

Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth wants all pupils to reach their full potential in a stimulating and supportive learning environment. It wishes to provide a solid foundation for students to develop and achieve their goals while at the school and in later life. The school is based on three core values: mutual respect, honesty and concern for others. Sustaining a Welsh ethos is central to all that the school does. Community is important at Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth and students are encouraged to become active and responsible citizens.  Charity plays a prominent role within the school, and it supports a range of causes. High standards of behaviour are implemented and students’ moral, spiritual and physical development is nurtured.  Ysgol Maes Y Gwendraeth wants parents to play a vital role in their children’s school life and has a Parents’ Voice tab on their website for them to have their say and voice and concerns. Extra-curricular activities are organised for all year groups, allowing for students to develop interests and learn new skills, along with nurturing existing ones.
