Special Education Needs Coordinator at IES Enskede (Stockholm, Sweden)

Our Junior School seeks an enthusiastic and qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator to start immediately. The age range of our students in this school section is 9 to 11. The successful candidate will be expected to lead staff in working with our special needs students in an inclusive manner. Our SEN coordinator will create and develop our SEN strategies; Coaching teachers in their use within the classroom.

About Internationella Engelska Skolan Enskede

International English School Enskede (IESE) is the founding school within the IES organisation. IESE is an independent secondary school with grades 4-9 which was started in 1998 by Mrs. Barbara Bergström. The school consists currently of over 900 students and 70 members of staff. Both staff and students come from all over the world bringing interesting knowledge, experience and possibilities into the school. The school is beautifully located in Stockholm with easy access to the town center.

The school follows the Swedish curriculum which includes grades on a scale from A-F in year groups 6 to 9. Groups 4-5 are given grade-like evaluations on the same scale. The school offers IGCSE exams from Cambridge University for students in year groups 8-9. 

Internationella Engelska Skolan i Enskede works hard to provide every pupil with a first-class education; students and their futures must always come first. The school recruits teacher from primarily Canada, USA and Britain. The school prides itself on having a work hard, play hard mentality and having an energetic and uplifting atmosphere. They also ensure every teacher has the option to develop their skills which includes a mentorship program and teacher exchanges and collaboration with universities.
