Integrated Services for Learning - Communication Disorders Team

Integrated Services for Learning is part of Hertfordshire's Children's Services It is a multi-disciplinary service comprising educational psychologists, specialist teachers and specialist support staff, statutory SEN services and Educational Support Centres. Currently we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced teacher looking for a new challenge.

The Communication Disorders Team is a highly successful team of specialist teachers and nursery nurses who support and advise schools on the inclusion of pupils with autism and speech, language and communication needs across all phases of education.

You will need broad experience in teaching in mainstream and/ or special schools or you may be currently working in an advisory service. You will oversee the work of specialist teachers and nursery nurses, organising and delivering training and contributing to the operational and strategic policies of the service. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working in partnership with schools and families. As this is a specialist advisory post, requiring a depth of specialist knowledge, you will already hold an additional qualification in autism.
