Wildern School has an exciting opportunity for a successful teacher of mathematics who would like to develop some outreach leadership responsibility. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious person as a Specialist Leader in Learning for Mathematics for Spring 2015. This is an upbeat, forward thinking, experienced and innovative department. A TLR or Leadership enhancement could be available for the right candidate.

Having been designated as one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in July 2011 we have a proven history of outreach with other schools, both at a Primary and Secondary level. We are also a school with significant strength in the CPD of staff, developing our teachers for the next stage of their careers. The successful applicant would be contributing to our programme of continuing professional development. Wildern is an over-subscribed community school with over 1800 students on roll. Graded as 'OUTSTANDING' by Ofsted in November 2012 for the third consecutive inspection, we are committed to being a centre of innovation, creativity and enjoyment for both students and staff. Maths results for 2014 were highest yet at 86% A*-C, with whole school 5A*-C GCSEs at 72% including English & Maths. The department has 14 dedicated teaching rooms, a highly committed and dedicated team of staff including a Core Progress Assistant (Maths TA).
