We are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Activator who will coordinate and develop sports based enrichment activities (including volunteering), inter and intra college competition and establish links with clubs and other sporting providers in the wider community.

The successful applicant will:

  • identify and increase sports enrichment opportunities for learners of the college i.e. sport clubs and sports activities
  • build and sustain effective partnerships with both national and local bodies
  • facilitate coaching and/or delivery of sports sessions and activities
  • have a Level 3 Sports Qualification or higher (or equivalent)
  • have a Level 2 coaching qualification in preferably one of the following, Badminton, Football, Basketball, Cricket or Netball
  • Have Maths and English (GCSE grade A*- C or level 2 equivalent)

Applicants with a variety of other Level 1 or 2 Coaching qualifications will be at an advantage.

New City College was created by the merger of Tower Hamlets College and Hackney Community College in August 2016. Redbridge College merged into the group in April 2017. The group merged in August 2018 with Epping Forest College, based in Loughton, Essex. We are London’s second largest college with 20,000 students and campuses sited in three east London boroughs and in Essex.
