In the heart of the city's cultural quarter, Leeds College of Music is a contemporary conservatoire preparing musicians and producers for successful careers in the creative industries.

Leeds College of Music is looking to recruit a part-time Student Centred Learning supervisor to support the delivery of its Further Education courses. This post involves the supervision of untutored classes in which students work on activities set by teaching staff. A supervisor is needed to support workshops in computer rooms (with students working on their written and composing assignments) and in band rooms (for the Pop/Jazz/Classical ensembles).

All applicants must be qualified to A-level or equivalent in music, have experience of supporting others in a learning situation and a good level of performance skills with ensemble performing experience. They must have a good working knowledge of relevant equipment and technologies. In addition, troubleshooting skills, reliability, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to support learners of varying abilities are essential.

Currently around six hours of work is available in total on Wednesday mornings and Fridays. This post may be split up between two role holders according to need.
