An opportunity has arisen to join our Inclusive Learning Assessment Team.

We are looking to appoint a Student Support Practitioner to provide support to curriculum staff regarding students who have a disability and/or learning difficulty and direct support to learners with disabilities/learning difficulties enabling them to access curriculum and wider college activities.

The successful candidate will hold an appropriate Level 3 qualification or significant relevant skills/knowledge, Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE A-C or equivalent), experience of working with people with a range of learning difficulties / disabilities including Autism Spectrum Conditions, experience of supporting learners with disabilities / learning difficulties in an educational setting, experience of using IT packages including word-processing, spreadsheets and databases, experience of notetaking or commitment to undertake training.

You will also have proven experience of communicating effectively with a range of learners both on an individual basis and in group settings, confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour and proven experience of liaising effectively with tutors and outside agencies.
