Values and vision
As a specialist arts and science school, Greenfield Community College works hard to provide a wide range of activities related to the arts. This is achieved through an active and engaging curriculum, and by working closely with the local community.
For sports and PE, the secondary school makes extensive use of its own facilities, as well as its active partnership with the nearby Shildon Leisure Centre.
Ofsted report
“Attainment at the end of Year 11 is rising and students achieve well in science, religious education and in history. Lesson observations and a scrutiny of students’ work confirm that significant actions taken to improve literacy and numeracy throughout the school, and to strengthen weaker teaching, have led to a rapid rise in achievement, particularly in English.”
