The Hampshire Specialist Teacher Advisory Service (STAS) is funded from the high needs block of the dedicated schools grant. There are four teams within the service and the Hearing Impaired Team is a large and well established team of teachers of the deaf and deaf instructors.
A unique opportunity is offered to apply for the post of Team Leader in STAS team.
Leading a team of specialist teachers/instructors of the deaf to support very young children, as well as school aged children in a variety of settings and those in post 16 education, you will bring established management skills and experience in SEN. Equally, you will have a proven ability to raise the achievement of children and young people with hearing impairment. This should reinforce your desire to promote inclusion and the confidence to offer support and advice to parents and education providers.
To join us, you will need to be a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and hold the British Sign Language Level 1 qualification.
