The King Alfred Federation of Athelney and Elfrida Primary Schools is seeking to appoint a strong and dynamic teacher for the Resource Base for children on the Autistic Spectrum.

The Resource Base has been open since September 2010 and has 16 children across the primary age range who demonstrate the capacity for integration into mainstream. We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our ASD Resource Base. The post is initially in the KS2 classroom but candidates should be able to teach across the primary age range.

Applicants should be qualified teachers with SEN experience and a strong interest in working with children on the autism spectrum. We value teamwork and you will be working with our Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion), an experienced teacher in the KS1 room and a team of Teaching Assistants. The successful candidate will join a hard working and highly motivated team of staff and a school of delightful children with good behaviour.
