Preston Manor became an all-through school in September 2011, expanding to provide two forms of entry primary (Lower School) provision on our existing site. We converted to become a Co-operative Academy in February 2013. Our successful 11-19 provision is oversubscribed and was judged to be 'good with many outstanding features' by Ofsted in May 2012. The 6th form was judged to be 'outstanding' for the 3rd consecutive Ofsted.

This high achieving and successful school is looking for an excellent teacher to help lead this highly successful and committed department and to continue to build on its existing strengths and outstanding student achievements.

The successful candidate will have the vision, creativity and experience to drive the continued development of Psychology within the History & Social Sciences Faculty as a valued and popular subject amongst our school community. They will join an energetic school which strives to ensure that all students enjoy learning and surpass expectations of achievement.

Psychology is offered at A-level and expectations of student behaviour and learning are high. Academic results at KS5 in all subjects within the Faculty are excellent. The school has recently invested in outstanding digital learning and new technologies resources to support the further development of all subject.

The ability to offer a second subject within the Faculty - Government and Politics, Sociology or History up to A Level would be advantageous but not essential.

Preston Manor School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through state school with academy status, based in Wembley, north-west London, for children aged 4-18. It is a member of the family of Co-operative Trust Schools. It is a large school with approximately 1,900 pupils.
