Westbury School is a day SEBD provision for pupils in Nottingham City and neighbouring local authorities. This is a well established and highly successful school where pupils make outstanding progress and where excellent achievement at the end of key stage 4 has received national recognition. The school has an outstanding reputation and is recognized as a National Support School. The school is a partner in The Westbury Woodlands Federation.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher who can teach across a number of curriculum areas, to join our excellent teaching team.

The successful applicant will:

• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
• Have the energy, passion and drive to raise standards and 'bring about the best' for all members of our school community
• Have initiative, vision, excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Have experience of working with students with challenging behaviour.
• Have the confidence and experience/knowledge to deliver a range of subjects across key stages with the support of an established and highly experienced team
• Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education.
• Ideally (but not essentially) have Humanities as their specialism
