About Boston Pioneers Free School Academy

Boston Pioneers Free School Academy opened as a new, mixed, primary school for children aged 4-11 in September 2013. The school is an academy maintained by the Phoenix Multi-Academy Trust. At full capacity, it will offer places to 420 children.

Values and vision

Boston Pioneers Free School Academy’s vision is encapsulated in the words: “Inspire, achieve, succeed”. It is committed to encouraging and enabling all children to celebrate their own unique talents, igniting a joy of living and learning, and helping them to realise their dreams.

The school aims to set the highest standards for its pupils in terms of both their academic success and their conduct, offering state of the art teaching and learning and promoting the values of morality, thoughtfulness, co-operation and respect.

A new curriculum, The Cornerstones Curriculum, is replacing the International Primary Curriculum at Boston Pioneers Free School Academy. The Cornerstones Curriculum is based on inspirational learning activities which take place in a classroom environment that allows children to learn in a way that motivates and interests them and is, the school, believes, far more up to date with the latest curriculum advances.

Ofsted

“Leaders ensure that staff have a good understanding of the changing nature of the local community. Consequently, staff work hard to give pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds the best possible start to their education. They encourage parents to be regular visitors in school and to take an active part in their children’s education. The school promotes equality and diversity, and tackles discrimination through its actions and subjects taught.”
