The Governors wish to appoint the following post, required for September 2014: TEACHER OF ART.

Derby Moor Community Sports College is an oversubscribed, 11 - 18, multicultural Sports College with 1,511 on roll.

We are a rapidly improving school and in our recent OFSTED inspection (Dec 2012) we were judged to be good overall with outstanding features. We are at an exciting phase of our development, guided by a strong educational vision, bringing together five key faculties. We have a dedicated staff and aspirational governors.

This post provides an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to drive the development of the schools Art curriculum. You will have the opportunity to develop and contribute to an improving and ambitious faculty, with the benefit of a brand new school building to work in.

The Governors are looking for an individual with the following qualities:

  • Has the ability and desire to become an outstanding classroom teacher
  • Has the ability and desire to teach Art across KS3 to KS5
  • Has the experience and knowledge of GCSE and A level Art or A level Photography
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others

Derby Moor Spencer Academy, part of The Spencer Academies Trust; a highly-successful network of 20 schools (8 Secondary, 11 Primary and 1 Special): is an oversubscribed, 11 - 18, multicultural school with 1,600 on roll.
