We are committed to our comprehensive values.

We strive for; “The Best by All, for All”.

Our expectations are high because we care about our students. We believe that every young person is special. Our vision is to build a community of successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens where all students, regardless of age, ability, or background, are engaged, challenged, inspired and supported in their learning. Our vision is of creating “an outstanding learning centre at the heart of the community”, an 11-18 school that ensures progression from primary age, continues through to Sixth Form and into adult life.

At Glossopdale we are proud of our achievements; we know our strengths and our areas for development and we remain determined and resolute to ensure the improvements will drive us to outstanding. This determination is shown through the commitment made by Derbyshire County Council to fund the building of a brand new £23 million school on a single site which will help us to realise our Vision and enable the community to have an 11-18 school fit for the 21st Century. The work on the new school has now commenced on the Hadfield Site and is due for completion in Spring 2018.

As we continue to drive up standards the Glossopdale 3 Big areas of focus are: High Outcomes for all through Stretch and Challenge; High Expectations of Learning, Aspiration and Behaviour; and High Attendance for All.

We aim to provide a stimulating environment that offers much more than an academic institution, by encouraging our students to make knowledge their own and to secure the best possible qualifications for all their futures. This has been reflected in our most recent examination results, which are most encouraging.

We are in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, within easy commuting distance for Manchester and Sheffield.  We have strong Community links with Glossop and Hadfield and excellent links with community providers.

Excellent career development opportunities.
