This innovative and successful 11-18 school first opened in September 2004 and has grown year on year. Oriel High is now oversubscribed with over 1300 students and was judged 'Good' by Ofsted in 2012; it has excellent facilities and is a dynamic learning community.

We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified graduate to join our existing motivated and successful Art team.

The Oriel Art team is innovative and forward thinking. It comprises 4 full time teachers and there are 4 art rooms, a dark room, a kiln room, a sixth-form studio and a technician's resource area dedicated to art teaching and learning.

At Key Stage 4 a variety of courses are offered to students to personalise learning: These courses include GCSE Fine Art, 3D and Textiles.

It would be a strong advantage if the applicant is experienced in teaching ceramics and three dimensional art.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of courses in the sixth form - courses include; Fine Art, 3D, Textiles and Photography.

We have excellent support for NQTs and would relish applications from newly qualified teachers who would like to grow and develop in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with the ability to inspire, enthuse and engage learners, and will be required to teach Art across Key Stage 3 and be able to specialise in Fine Art at Key Stage 4.
