Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving, successful school and to teach Art and Design to Key Stage 4/5. Art is a very popular subject in our school and we wish to appoint a colleague with the knowledge and skills to enthuse our highly ambitious students. The ability to teach another subject, such as D&T to KS3 would be an advantage.
Brampton Manor is a mixed 11-18 Academy converter school with over 1600 pupils on roll. It is anover-subscribed school with a firm commitment to comprehensive principles and outstanding examination results. In 2013, 75% achieved 5 or more grades at A*-C including English and Maths. Brampton Manor was graded outstanding in its last Ofsted inspection. There is a distinctive ethos which combines a relatively informal supportive approach with a sharp focus on learning and achievement.
Art is a very successful subject in our school with outstanding results at GCSE and A level. The Visual Arts department operates in a fully consultative, supportive manner. We would welcome applications from NQTs and more experienced teachers to take on additional responsibility within the learning area.
