Benfield is a school that has been significantly raising achievement each year for the last five years and we are looking for a team player who will be committed to continuing this work with us.
For January 2015 we are looking for a Teacher of Chemistry with proven experience of strong teaching and outcomes at GCSE and of working successfully with students of all abilities.
Having achieved our best results ever in August 2012 (90% 5A*-C, 53% including English and Mathematics) we are looking for a colleague who will bring experience of raising achievement as we work toward bettering these results in 2015. We are able to offer support in an open and reflective department where forward thinking is valued.

Benfield has an incredible team of excellent teachers and support staff who genuinely care for the students and a fantastic group of young people who have a great love for the school and who take great pride in what they do here.
We have a very clear vision – all of our students are set challenging academic and personal targets and are given the support and encouragement to succeed to ensure that each of them goes out into the globally competitive world after leaving Year 11 or Year 13 with the skills, attributes and behaviours for 21st century living.
The environment we provide for this to take place in is one which is stimulating and exciting, whilst also recognising that education takes place both inside and outside the classroom and through a range of various learning styles.
Within our learning community, we welcome the parents and carers of our students, placing full value on the vital role they play in the education of their children. We believe that it is essential that an active partnership and effective collaboration between home and school is in place to make sure that individually, our students are provided with the start to their life that they deserve.
